Our Journey to Date

Our journey to date has taken us from Manly Boat Harbour to Mackay, with many stops along the way, and the company of family and friends. Here are a few highlights:
Between a rock and a hard stand - when you can't sail your boat, you can use it as a car port.

The new prodder. George is tying up the furled screacher under the supervision of our rigger, David Lambourne.

George up the mast adjusting our "docking cameras".
All kitted out and ready to go.
Moth (Susan), Michel and David enjoying Happy Hour.
Fishing at Island Head Creek - first catch your sandworm, then catch your whiting. How easy is that?
Putting out the crab pots.
Enjoying the catch.
Sunrise after our first night at sea - on the way out to Swains Reef.

This is what it's all about - heading into an anchorage in a reef of our very own.

Early morning wake-up swim off the back of the boat.
Dive of the day with David and Anne Tyrrell.
Sometimes you don't want to leave the water until the sun goes down.
Snorkelling out to check the anchor.
Chatting with David Tyrrell as the sun sets slowly in the west.
Nothing better than having the sails up and the engines off!
Two of many humpback whales that joined us on the journey. More about these amazing seafarers later!

Rare photo of the elusive Georgus Activus roosting in one place.
That's all for now; more to come as we continue our journey north and learn more about the wonderful cruising coast of QLD.
